Our After-School Program

Operation Inspire is an after-school program that offers educational enrichment to students based in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The program is managed and funded through Cane Bay Cares, the charitable giving arm of Cane Bay Partners VI, LLLP, in partnership with the St. Croix Foundation.

We began this program as an initiative to supplement shortened schedules in VI public schools after Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017. But even after schedules went back to normal, Operation Inspire continued to support the work of the VI Department of Education with homework assistance and enrichment programs.

In 2023, Operation Inspire was recognized and approved by the USVI Economic Authority (USVI EDA) as a public-school program. This endorsement enables EDC beneficiaries’ donations to the program to qualify for “public school program and initiative recognition” in accordance with the Economic Development Program Law.

At Operation Inspire we use a comprehensive approach to learning, designed specifically to nurture holistic well-rounded individuals and focus on developing 21st century skills through project-based learning. All our students receive homework assistance and participate in activities that challenge them to think critically, collaborate, and be innovative.

This school year (2023-2024), we will continue to offer our services to students at the Eulalie Rivera, Ricardo Richards, and Pearl B. Larsen schools.
